The Contract Signing and Ground Breaking Ceremony for the Ibn Khuldoon National School

The Contract Signing and Ground Breaking Ceremony for the Ibn Khuldoon National School (IKNS) project took place on 10th January 2019 at the Project Site.

The expansion involves construction of new Kindergarten & Elementary School Blocks with associated facilities.

The 44 classroom expansion will cater to 916 students and will also have a canteen, Gymnasium, Library, Laboratories, Indoor Sports Hall, Administrative Offices and a 300 capacity Auditorium. The 2 Storey school building will also have a basement for car parking. The outdoor play areas also include an elementary size football field.   

The new school having a total built-up area of 16,500m² on the new 20,300 m2 land, will replace the existing KG and Elementary building expanding the capacity of the school.

The Contract was signed between IKNS and Poullaides Construction Co. for a project cost of BD 5.45 million.

The contract signing and ground breaking function was attended by the School Board led by its Chairman Mr. Farouk Almoayyed, the Project Consultant, MSCEB led by its Chairman Mr. Mohamed Salahuddin and the Contractor (Poullaides Construction Co.) led by its, Managing Director Mr. Christos Poullaides.
